I purchased Painter 2016 and the additional backup DVD install. When I insert the DVD in my iMac it attempts to read it, but then ejects the disc. The didc is brand new and has no scratches on it. Is my dvd needing cleaning, or does anyone think it's something more serious?

The DVD drive may be dirty. Go to your local office supply store and get a CD/DVD cleaning kit and try using that. Considering iMacs with DVD drives have not been make for over 5 years, yours also just may be worn out.
Just to be sure... you did purchase the Mac version... correct?

Thanks, I'll pick up a dvd cleaner and try that. Would you think if the drive is "processing" and trying to read the disc that it might just be really dirty, or could it also be malfunctioning while still spinning?
